Welcome to the Ford Counselor Corner!

Welcome!

We are so excited for the 2019-20 school year! It has been a great year so far. At Ford Elementary, we have two school counselors, Dr. Ruddell and Mrs. Owen. Dr. Ruddell works with grades 1,3, & 5 and Mrs. Owen works with grades K, 2, & 4. If you have any questions or concerns about your student, please do not hesitate to reach out to his/her school counselor!

Mission
The mission of Ford Elementary program is to provide to a program of excellence where all students receive a comprehensive, developmental program that addresses the areas of academic, career, and social/emotional development. School counselors engage, enrich, and empower students to feel successful as individuals. School counselors advocate for all students and the school counseling program by promoting a safe and respectful environment, fosters leadership skills that prepares them to be successful and productive in the future.

The students at Ford Elementary will achieve excellence academically and socially. The comprehensive school counseling program engages students through positive relationships. Students are enriched through a curriculum that is geared to meet their social/emotional, academic, and career readiness needs. Through the implementation of our comprehensive counseling program, students are empowered to use problem solving skills, use positive mindsets, and become life-long learners and responsible members of our community.
