My name is Mandy
Ruddell and I love being at Ford. I am working with 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade this year. In addition, I coordinate 504s for my grade level students. I have a BA in Psychology, Teaching Certificate
in Middle Grades Education, a double Masters in School Counseling and
Professional Counseling, a Specialist degree in School Counseling, and a
Doctorate in Professional Counseling and Supervision.
I am a Cobb County native and attended Cobb County schools. I began as a teacher in DeKalb County in 1991, came to Cobb County in 1995 to be an elementary counselor at Hayes, and came to Ford Elementary in 2001 after my oldest son was born. I have been here at Ford for 20 years and it is truly home! This is my 29th year in education and I love coming to Ford every day! My husband of 27 years and I live in Powder Springs, Georgia and have two wonderful sons who are in 10th grade and a freshman in college. Between baseball, basketball, and track, the boys keep us pretty busy.

My name is Kelly Owen and Ford feels like home to me. I work
with kids in Kindergarten, Second, & Fourth grade. In addition, I coordinate 504s for K, 2nd, and 4th grade students. I am a Cobb County Native and graduated from John
McEachern High School. I have a BA in Special Education with certification in
General Education as well. I have a Master’s degree in Special Education and I
am currently working on my PhD in Professional Counseling and Supervision degree at the University of Georgia. I started my teaching career at Ford in 2003. I made the decision to
stay home with my children in 2010. Eight years and four children later, I
returned to Ford as a School Counselor. My husband and I have three girls and a
little boy ages 15, 13, 10, and 7. My husband flies Blackhawk helicopters and
works Active Duty for the Georgia National Guard. We are a proud military
family! Ford is a wonderful school and I am love coming to work every day!
